Nursing Assistant/Aide

We currently offer nurse aide classes in the morning and evening.

Our next class begins on March 24, 2009


General Information

 

  • Day class from 9am to 2pm Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
  • Daytime clinical will be from 7am to 12pm Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
  • Night class from 4pm to 9pm Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
  • Nighttime clinical from 4pm to 9pm Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
  • There may be occasional make-up days on Mondays and Fridays this can be either classroom or clinical.

Enrollment Requirements:

  • Must complete an application in office.
  • $325 deposit due when placing application in order to reserve your seat. This fee includes book fees.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Enroll early (ten students accepted per class)
  • High School diploma or GED (must provide copy before class start date)
  • Completion of two-part PPD before start of class (must provide paperwork with dates)
  • Upon completion of this class you will receive a certificate as a nursing aide and are eligible to take the state exam for certification.  

Cancellation Policy:  If student cancels less than 4 weeks prior to the start of the nurse aide class your deposit is non-refundable.  Included in the tuition and book fee is a $75.00 processing fee that is also non-refundable.  If a student attends one class all money is non-refundable.

·         $675 (this includes books & class tuition)

      (Virginia State Board Exam Fee is not included in tuition)

Supplies:

·         2 white uniforms (needed by fourth week of class)

·         White shoes and socks (needed by fourth week of class)

     Shoes must be enclosed toe and heel

·         Notepad (small enough to fit in your pocket)

·         Watch with a second hand for classroom & clinicals (waterproof)

·         Pencils and pens
